Our Leadership

Virtus Resource Group was founded by Brent Cuevas, a procurement and construction executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex projects, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering solutions for government, tribal, commercial, and institutional clients.

Throughout his career, Brent has held numerous leadership positions, including serving as President of a regional commercial general contracting company, where he has been responsible for leading operations, driving business growth, and overseeing procurement and contract execution across a diverse portfolio of projects. His leadership philosophy is built on integrity, accountability, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional value to every client.

Over the course of his career, Brent has overseen the procurement and contract administration of hundreds of millions of dollars in construction materials, equipment, specialty products, and professional services. This experience has enabled him to build long-standing relationships with manufacturers, distributors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the United States while developing extensive expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, logistics, and risk management.

Brent has successfully supported projects for numerous federal and tribal agencies, including the U.S. Department of the Navy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Department of the Army, Indian Health Service (IHS), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and Tribal Governments throughout the Southwest. Through this experience, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of federal procurement, government contracting requirements, regulatory compliance, and the disciplined execution required to support mission-critical organizations.

Having managed projects from preconstruction through closeout, Brent understands procurement from both the buyer's and the supplier's perspective. This unique experience enables Virtus Resource Group to anticipate customer needs, mitigate supply chain risks, evaluate supplier capabilities, and deliver practical sourcing solutions that support successful project outcomes.

Brent earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Master of Science in Construction Management and Technology from Arizona State University. By combining advanced education with decades of executive leadership and procurement experience, he brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to helping organizations solve complex sourcing and procurement challenges.
